India’s ‘awkward’ water park for girls
India’s “awkward” water park has reopened after a girl was raped by a tiger while playing in the park.
The park, at Tashkent’s Riverfront Stadium, was closed to the public after the attack, which was reported on Sunday, police said.
The girl, who was only 10 years old, had reportedly been playing in a park on the riverfront with her friends.
The police said the park had not been reopened and a report was being prepared.
The city is now taking steps to restore the park and install security cameras in the water park.
Last month, a 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in a water park in India’s capital New Delhi, by a bull.
The attack took place after she was playing in an area where bulls were reportedly roaming.
